GENERAL RULES

Tractor / Pulling Rules

1.Contest is open to “Garden Tractors” with rubber tires, NO four-wheel drives, or ATVs allowed.

NO studs or Chains permitted. 6X6X12 Duals are permitted.

2.Driver will operate his/her tractor in a safe manner and at such speed as to be in full control at all

Times. Any outside help will be grounds for disqualification.

(8-years old and under is exempt from this rule.)

NO one other than track officials will be allowed on track.

3.Drivers 8-years old and younger MUST wear a helmet, Helmet Must fit each child pulling

tractor, Also will ware it when pulling in any other class.

Also have Kill switch or Brake away BY 2010

4.Any competitor or any member of his/her crew found to be under the influence of an intoxicating

agent,drugs,or having a measurable Blood alcohol content during the contest activities shall be barred

from any further involvement or participating in the event and may face suspension or termination.

5. NO Smoking while driving tractor, or while being hooked to the sled.

6.Driver Must remain in the seat during the pull and have complete control of the tractor at all times

with foot within easy reach of the brake or clutch, and have one hand on the steering wheel at all times.

NO Bouncing in the seat during the pull. Non-compliance with any of the above is grounds for

disqualification by any track official, which are, but not restricted to flagmen, and/or sled operators, and

hook man NO EXCEVE BOUNCING OF THE FROUNT END OF YOUR TRACTOR DURING A

PULL......

7. All pulls must start with a tight hitch; NO jerking of the sled is permitted.

8. All tractors must have working brakes – hydrostats exempt.

9.All weights must be stationary and secured safely to the tractor. Loss of any part(s) of the tractor or

weights or personal items while hooked to the sled will result in immediate disqualification. No weights

will be placed: in the seat, on the hood. Weights are not to extend more than 6 inches beyond the rear

face of the rear tire, nor shall they be positioned more than 8 feet in front of the center of the rear axle.

Wheelie bars, Bumper bars, or Skid plates excluded. Weights must not extend more than 6 inches on the

outer side of the rear tires. Weights shall not interfere with the hitch. Over all width not to exceed 54

inches

10. Slogans or Sayings on Tractor MUST BE family oriented.

NO PROFANITIES OR GESTURES ALLOWED

11. The tractor must remain within the boundaries of the track during the pull. If a tractor goes out of

track boundaries, it will not be disqualified, and will be given measurement to point of being flagged out.

12. Straight pipe exhaust must discharge vertically (+ or – 10 degrees) up ward and extending at least 12

inches from the exhaust port. Stock OEM exhaust systems are exempt.

13.Maximum of one entry per tractor per weight class. Maximum of two entries per tractor per event.

Numbers are subject to change at discretion of the promoter. Number of pulls will be determined at

drivers meeting due to conditions of events or less than 40 entry’s and only one trophy per tractor if

entered in a class more than once.

a.The 8-year old and under class is exempt from this rule. A tractor can make 2 pulls in the 8-year old

and under assisted with 2 different drivers, and 2 pulls in an UN-assisted class. 4 PULLS

MAXIMUM.

14. Wheelie bars must be installed on all tractors in all classes. Wheelie bars wheels may be a

Minimum of 5 inches and a Maximum of 18 inches from the back of the rear tire, with a Max of 5 inches

from bottom of wheelie bar wheel to the ground.

15. The hitch must be NO more than 13 inches high (off of ground) with a minimum of 1-1/2” diameter

opening. The hooking official will not install a clevis. No balls will be allowed. It is the drivers’

responsibility to have tractor ready to be hooked to the sled, not the track officials.

16.All pullers will weigh in. All weights must include driver, fuel, and safety equipment. 8-years and

under are exempt.

17. There will be a drivers meeting within 30 minutes prior to pull time.

18. All tractors must be in neutral or park while being hooked to the sled, with both hands readily visible to

the flagman.

19. The rules committee at each pull will make all rule interpretations. Upon a lodged protest, the rules

committee will make the interpretations. Their decision will be final. Will also include sled operator

20. Drivers must adhere to the off-throttle idle at all times. This means idle before, and after completing

your pull, including the pit area.

21. You may run any type of”PUMP” gas, with the exception, NO ALCOHOL or NITRATED FUEL. Except

for exabtion only and no trophy

22. Factory type engines only, NO motorcycle, snowmobile, ATV, or automotive engines and/or components

allowed. Single or twin cylinder motors will be allowed in stock classes. 19+ hp retrofitted (NONOEM)

engines will be classed as modified.

23. The pull will end when forward motion of the sled stops, or when the sled goes beyond the end of

the track or finish line.

24. All Drivers on the field to enforce rules. And SAFTY RULES. A hitch height gauge and

tachometer will be available at the scales.

25. ALL pullers MUST sign waivers .

26. NO shifting gears while pulling. Hydrostats and Variables exempt.

27. Max wheel diameter of 12 inches.

28. Max tire size of “26 x 12 x 12” or as noted in Pulling Class Specifications. Agriculture, Turf tires

may have bars removed but NOT beveled or sharpened in anyway, or ATV tires only on stock. NO cut

tires EXCEPT in Stock-Altered, and Modified classes.

29. No Professional pulling tires or added “Chevron” lug tires EXCEPT in Modified Classes.

30. Stock or Stock-Altered tractors will NOT be allowed to enter into a modified Class and NO Modified

tractors in Stock or Stock-Altered Classes. A Stock-Altered tractor may NOT be entered into a Stock

Class. And vise a versa.

31. No Locked differentials in stock classes. Factory OEM lockers are allowed on Stock classes. Locked

differentials are allowed in Stock-Altered, and Modified classes only.

a. A Locked differential is defined as a differential that when has 1 wheel suspended, and 1 wheel

planted on the ground, the suspended wheel is not able to make a complete 360 degree revolution freely.

IF the suspended wheel DOES NOT freely make the full revolution, then the differential is classified as

LOCKED and the tractor will be classed accordingly, or disqualified.

32. All stock tractors will have working governors, NO OVERIDES, NO EXCEPTIONS! 4000-

RPM Rule will be strictly enforced in all stock and stock alt. classes AND on tractors with Cast Iron

flywheels. Rule will be enforced.

Modified tractors may exceed the 4000 RPM limit IF they are equipped with a steel or billet flywheel

and a scatter-shield.Steel or billet Flywheels

WILL BE VARIFIED BY TRACK OFFICIALS!

33. 30’ False Start Line

34. Clutches, Belts and pulleys MUST HAVE factory installed shielding or shielding of any kind for All

Tractors must have a Hood, Grille, AND Fenders if OEM Equipped. WILL BE ENFORSED…….

35.13 weight classes:

A. CLASS 8 years of age and younger.

A parent or guardian may assist the driver in this class ONLY. AND

MUST HAVE A KILL SWITCH OR BRAKE AWAY BY 2010...

NO ASSISTANCE TO DRIVERS IN CLASSES “B” thru “M” after the tractor is hooked to the sled.

Outside assistance to the puller while tractor is in motion is grounds for disqualification. Anyone 8yrs.

Old or under entering in any other class must wear a Helmet And have a adult with a KILL SWICTH

OR BRAKEAWAY BY 2010 walking beside the track……

(No one other than track officials will be allowed on track)

STOCK Classes:

Stock Classification consists of, bone stock tractors:

NO ALUMINUM WHEELS ALLOWED IN STOCK CLASSES!

FRAME AND CHASSIS: All stock tractors MUST RETAIN the OEM Frame and Chassis, for

that make and model of the tractor WITHOUT

ALTERATIONS OF ANY KIND! Except for safety items.

ENGINE: Must be stock engine for that make and model. Straight pipe exhaust Is permitted on a stock

tractor.

TIRES: MAX REAR: For 600 – 1000 lb stock classes is 23 x 10.5 x 12

For 1200 lb stock class is 26 x 12 x 12

MAX FRONT: ALL stock classes must be OEM Diameter Wheels And tires

B. 600 lb 9 & OLDER

C.700 lb

D. 800 lb

E. 900 lb

F. 1000 lb

G. 1200 lb

STOCK-ALTERED Class

Stock-Altered Classification consists of, but not limited to:

FRAME AND CHASSIS:All stock-altered tractors must have a stock frame and chassis, but may

be of another make and model tractor. i.e. Cub Cadet differential, in a John Deere Frame. All

tractors must have Hood, Grille and Fenders if OEM equipped.

All tractors may have up to a MAXIMUM wheelbase of 52”

ENGINE: Maximum 18HP. Must be a stock engine, with a maximum over-bore per OEM specs

for THAT engine. Dead Man Throttle and Kill Switch recommended. By 2010 ALL

STOCK ALT. MUST HAVE KILL SWITCH TO HOOK TO SLED

No strapped heads. Electric fuel pumps allowed.

ALUMINUM WHEELS ALLOWED IN STOCK-ALTERED CLASSES!

TIRES: MAX REAR: 26 X 12 X 12, May be Cut, but no added chevron lugs.

DIFFERENTIALS: Locked allowed (see rule #30a. for classification)

MODIFIED Classes

Modified Classification consists of, but not limited to

FRAME AND CHASSIS:Modified from OEM, or custom fabricated.

ENGINE: May have 1 or more engines, May be 19+ horsepower, NO ATV,

Motorcycle, Snowmobile, or Automotive engines.

ALUMINUM WHEELS ALLOWED

TIRES: MAX REAR: 26 X 12 X 12, May be Cut, added chevron lugs, or

Professional pulling tires i.e. “Lawntec”, “PitBull”, “Dick Cepek”.

DIFFERENTIALS: Locked allowed (see rule #30a. for classification)

Hook fees: $10.00 a HOOK

Trophies and plaques will be limited to the “First” and “Second” places in all classes except

8 years and younger; they will receive a plaque if they pull. .
